Nicholas Sparks

Nicholas Sparks, now 45, was Born in 1965 in Omaha, Nebraska in the United States, lived much of his life in Fair Oaks, California and graduated in economics from the University of Notre Dame where he received a scholarship.
Sparks began writing while working as a pharmacist. And when literary agent Theresa Park, proposed to represent him, sold the rights to his first novel: the notebook, Warner Books. The success was immediate and the work remained for 56 consecutive weeks in the top Americans.

Today he lives in North Carolina with his wife Catherine and their five children: Miles, Ryan, Landon, Lexie and Savannah. Nicholas met Cathy, who is married to more than twenty years on vacation from college and the following day, declared that were destined to marry.

Some of the names of the protagonists of his books were given in tribute to children, such as Landon in A walk to Remember and Savannah in Dear John.

Six of the novels of Nicholas Sparks have already been made into films grossing (The notebook, Message in a Bottle, Nights in Rodanthe, A walk to Remember, Dear John and The Last Song).
